Lifeng Textile Company:
Global Marketing facilitated the development of a business plan for a textile company and assisted with gaining access to finance. The detail and quality of the business plan together with the skills and expertise required to comply with marketing and financial information requirements led to the granting of a loan of R30 million by the IDC. The project will create 105 new employment opportunities and could lead to import replacement that will create further growth opportunities.

Batlhako Temo Agricultural Cooperative:
Global Marketing was commissioned to assist an agricultural Coop to develop a business plan and to facilitate market access by identifying and securing new sales contracts. In the process a new buyer was identified that has since signed an agreement to purchase all the Cooperative’s annual production at a price 12% higher than previously received. GM also assisted in submitting the business plan to Land Reform to access finance to expand and diversify the present agricultural activities, which is presently under consideration.

ICT Incubator:
Global Marketing was commissioned to conduct a feasibility study to establish an ICT Incubator in George in Eden, Southern Cape. The outcome of the study was positive confirming the market, economic and development impact potential of establishing the ICT Incubator. The establishment of the ICT Incubator would lead to the creation of over 200 new employment opportunities and also prevent the loss of skills and expertise being experienced in the region due to a lack of economic development.

Trade Point (Export) Evaluation:
Global Marketing was appointed to undertake an evaluation and impact assessment of the Trade Point Program managed and operated by Seda National Office. The study revealed several areas for improvement to strengthen the Program and magnify the impact of the Trade Point services offered. In the process all the stakeholders and role players were consulted to obtain their input and feedback on the present and functioning of the TP Program. The outcome resulted in greater consensus on the future services to be offered and how to improve the competitiveness of Trade Point members and fast track SME’s into the export arena.

Export Training and Skills Development:
During 2012 and 2013 to date Global Marketing has conducted 4 EDP (Export Development) training courses involving 50 prospective SME‘s wishing to export their products and or services. As a result of attending these export courses several SME’s have been able to improve their competitiveness and export readiness through the development of export marketing plans. Due to the strong marketing management element that is built into the course and also Global Marketing’s extensive past export marketing experience several SME’s have also been able to strengthen their local marketing campaigns and to grow sales. Over the past 18 years Global Marketing has undertaken export marketing and competitive assessments for some 350 companies in all industry sectors.

Export, Marketing and Business Mentoring and Coaching:
Global Marketing was appointed to mentor a export company to increase export sales. As a result of the mentoring and assistance a new distributor has been appointed with the market prospects of quadrupling export sales over the coming year.

Chainpack (Pty) Ltd:
Facilitate access to finance for the expansion of operations to the value of R40million.

Koni Multinational Brands (Pty) Ltd:
Facilitated the development of a business plan and applied for and assisted in gaining access to funding to establish the project with Connie Ferguson as the Managing Director.

Kwa Mai Mai Market:
Global Marketing was appointed by GEP to develop a business plan for the upgrade and maintenance of the Kwa Mai Mai Market in Johannesburg. As a traditional medicine (muti) market, the infrastructure and quality of the market has been neglected over the years. They were in need to access funding of R10M for the upgrade, maintenance and uplift man of the market. As a result and quality of the business plan, the plan has been approved for funding and is in the process of accessing funding from DTI and JPC. The role players positively reacted to the business plan and are now implementing it.

Mamabakemore Confectionary:
Global Marketing was appointed by GEP to develop a business plan for the establishment of a bakery in Pretoria. The owner operated a small bakery and wanted to expand and establish a fully fledged bakery. As a result and quality of the business plan, the plan was approved for funding. The owner opened the bakery with new machinery and equipment and created six job opportunities, and continues to grow with the plan of creating five more job opportunities.

Ebinter Cleaning Chemicals:
Global Marketing was appointed by SEDA to develop a business plan for the expansion of Ebinter Cleaning Chemicals. A business that has been operating for some years manufacturing cleaning chemicals. The owner of the business intended to expand and double production output and a business plan was developed. As a result and quality of the business plan, the plan was approved for funding.

Optimum Harvest:
Global Marketing developed a business plan for a co-operative focusing on farming operations in Brits. They applied for a grant with DTI and NYDA and were approved by both.

South Western Dairy:
Global Marketing developed a business plan for South Western Dairy start up to process milk. The business plan was approved through the IDC and is currently in the set up phase.

Dermacell Skin Care Range:
Global Marketing assisted Dermacell with a marketing plan and strategy, business plan development and access to market. The access to market was confirmed with an off-take agreementr from Big Save, whereby the client was able to access funds.

Tnotsa (The Teens Nest of Technology SA (Pty) Ltd):
Global Marketing assisted Tnotsa with a marketing plan and strategy, business plan and access to market. The access to market was confirmed with Tnotsa signing off-take agreement with Big Save Wholesaler to sell in all their retailers.

PRD Logical Solutions (Pty) Ltd:
Global Marketing facilitated the development of detailed marketing strategy and plan. Further a bankable business plan was developed and funding was secured through the IDC.

Tshepo Realeboga Primary Co-Operative:
Global Marketing was appointed by GEP to develop a bankable business in order for the co-operative to access funding from the Department of Small Business through their Co-Operative Incentive Scheme. The co-operative received just under R400,000 in grant funding.

Sesfikile:
Global Marketing assisted Sesfikile to improve its standing as a Transnet supplier under their Supplier Development Fund. We conducted a productivity and service delivery assessment and addressed and eliminated constraints preventing optimal performance. Sesfikile has since been the recipient of the PRODUCTIVITY S.A Outstanding Achievement in Productivity Improvement – EMERGING SECTOR
